Description

Woohoo! Finally a new post!
I know it has been a while since my last. I have been busy :p

This piece is created with my big new friend, my wacom tablet.
Done in Photoshop CS2 in about 7 hours

P.S One tiny lil'problem... I still gotta create something IN the hand...something lumy :)
So guess what, that makes me still working on this one :)

this is one very beautiful painting work. i absolutely love the work in her hand, and naturally her face. but i reckon painting hands is far more difficult than faces. i am not sure if you agree? my only little constructive critique is that i find the neck to shade a little bit too wide. but it my be my tired eyes....
i am new to gfx and only allowed 5 points to rate, but im surely giving them to you, because i paint too and i acknowledge the hard work.

Nice work,
I like the pendant and the hairs very much!
Nice work on the hand too.
The bg is a little empty imo.

Very nice details! I love the jewels and her hair :) It would look cool with her holding and firefly or a fairy or something glowy! Keep it up, this is beautiful!

Wow minke!
You surely are going to be in the top of our class!
Great job on the hair and the hand, face....everything :)
The crits I have: Nico makes a good point with the shading at the neck, could make it a bit softer. Second crit I have is, I think it would be mor beautiful if her nose was a bit more exstracted out of her face. I think that is more realistic, she's a bit flat faced right now.
Love the jewelry too :)

I'm still not used to working with wacom....have to practise...I hate that :p

very nice work. I do like her face but feel her mouth and nose could be a tiny bit bigger or her eye could be reduced a little bit...not much!

Very nice though. Love the hair and jewels

its not bad but you got to realize that the trick to painting is to use a very 2 dimensional method to get a 3d dimensional feel. thats the trick to it. the forehead and the face are far too contoured in one direction so its causing a very interesting 2d effect. you do have command over your tools so its only a matter of time before you kickass.

keep it up

Nice work.
I like the look in her eyes... it has some depth.

Nice work. As for the anatomy, I see some minor issues. The lips are sticking out a tad too much for a profile. The iris seems to be seen more from the front than from the profile. Did you use reference?

nope, I dind't use any Maidith... I know I should :p

this is an incredibly elegant and beautiful piece and the painterly effect is exactly that what I usually intend to achieve. and thank you for your insighful comment on my nine millimeter, actually, being it too 3dkind of smooth is bugging me because I love the painterly way =) alas, that piece was made back there where my ps skills weren't adequate especially those with creating ambience and using brush sensitivity I guess :) :) +9 for you (this is my max capability to vote, otherwise this would be a +10)
